The material will wear off naturally and safely over the years, providing a strong shield against decay at first, then simply dissolving when the child is old enough to no longer need the protection.

We may also recommend supplemental fluoride treatments or a fluoride mouthwash for your children. Fluoride is a mineral that attracts other minerals to create a strong defense against tooth decay. While most tap water now has fluoride, bottled water does not. Kids who primarily drink bottled water may need a supplement to replenish their fluoride level.
