Fillings

Dr. Jackson places tooth-colored, composite resin fillings, as well as porcelain inlays and onlays. Fillings will keep your smile bright and natural looking, while eradicating invasive tooth decay and improving your oral health.

Composite resin fillings are made from a liquid material, tinted to match the effected tooth, and hardened with a soft curing light. We recommend onlays and inlays for more extensive areas of decay. A dental lab fabricates these restorations, often from porcelain or porcelain fused to metal. While a composite resin filling can be placed in a single visit, you'll need to prepare for two visits for an inlay or onlay.

You should attend regular, six-month checkups because early detection and treatment of cavities can prevent tooth loss and/or much more costly procedures. Upon request, Dr. Jackson can place an amalgam filling.
